I get the message 'diesel particulate filter full, continue driving'... and if that happens I know why and how to cure... drive... but when your out of hours or out of service or the lot your in will not allow you to drop your ball and chain (trailer) then I'm only left with one of two options... turn the truck off... or force a regen.
In short, the only way to achieve this is to have a scanner that allows you to force one? It's the only answer I've come across.
In the long term I'm going to put a electronic cutoff within the canister cleverly hidden to bypass the dpf and use my software that's on its way to disable the def system, but in the meantime is my only option a cheap scan tool?
